Upcoming, Fall 2008: A Muse Course: "Sex, Drugs and Rock 'n' Roll." This course will focus on the musical and cultural impact of this uniquely American genre. Rock 'n' Roll began as a hybrid of country and rhythm and blues. This course examines the influence of other musical genres on Rock 'n' Roll's genesis.

In this class we will examine the Rock 'n' Roll music of the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s. We'll study the relationship that we, as a society and as individuals, have with Sex, Drugs and Rock 'n' Roll, and the motivating factors behind the music.

Sex, Drugs and Rock 'n' Roll aren't reasons to cut class … they are the reasons you come to this one.
