Leads Exercise #2 -- Air Crash

Write a one- or two-sentence hard news lead using most or all of this information (if it doesn't all fit in the lead, you might also give me the start of paragraph two):

What:    An airplane crashed. The crash killed all 131 people on board.

Who:     A US Air airplane.

When:   Today, so write it as yesterday (it'll be "yesterday" by the time the paper comes out). The crash happened as the plane was getting ready (find a better verb) to land.

Where:  Outside Pittsburgh. The plane was coming from Chicago.

Why:     Don't know, so don't use it in the lead.

How:     Right into the ground. Find a strong verb.

Also:      Worst air disaster/crash in the United States in the past three years.
