Fall 2008 Deadlines
If you plan to graduate in December 2008, your application
for graduation must be delivered
to Graduate Studies & Research
by Monday, Sept. 22. You can download the form
from the Grad
Studies website.
Thesis/Project Proposals
Write a cover memo indicating whom you would like to serve as primary, second and third advisors. Attach it to each copy of your proposal. Include your home and work phone numbers, a mailing address and an email address.
Your second page will be a sign-off sheet from your primary advisor stating that your proposal is ready to be viewed by the committee
Make 12 copies of your proposal for the Graduate Committee, plus any additional copies for any faculty in the School or other departments who will serve on your committee.
Thesis/Project Proposals are due at 5 p.m. on:
- Monday, Sept. 7
- Monday, Oct. 6
- Monday, Nov. 17
Thesis/Projects Completion Timeline
- Monday, Sept. 15, by 5 p.m.: First complete
thesis draft is due to your three-member
committee. Students should allow
for a two-week reading period for
faculty after each draft is submitted.
- Monday, Sept. 22: Last day to file application
for degree at Graduate Studies & Research
- Tuesday, Nov. 13: Due date for theses and
projects. Completed thesis (with
advisor signatures) due to Graduate
Studies & Research.
Projects (with advsior signatures)
due to graduate coordinator.
- Monday, Nov. 24: Graduating
MCom grad students present thesis/project/comp
results.
Your program plan for graduation must be filed the semester before you graduate. All prerequisites must be completed before this plan can be submitted.
Please reserve 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24, for thesis/project/comprehensive
paper presentations to fulfill the
CSU culminating experience for graduate
students.
Note: The last
day to submit a thesis or project
for May '08 graduation is Monday,
April 7. May '08 grads will present their
thesis/project/comp results Tuesday, May 6.
